Component Force New business development team

An update from the Component Force New business development team:

One of our most challenging tasks to date was trying to design and manufacture a custom cap for a component which was being used in the aerospace industry.
The large plastic cap had to grip on to the part whilst in transit to protect the surface, be easy to fit, reusable, durable and made in a bright, visible colour. We started looking at different shapes and designs for the large plastic cap, even looking at the possibility of making it a Hex cap shape to ensure the large plastic cap fitted snugly on to the part.

Our own engineers at Component Force then modified the tooling which we originally had to make the cap slightly longer and made the cap in a bright yellow PVC.

The end product has turned out to be a grate success and the customer is very happy.

If our plastic Component Experts can help you on a special project please contact them now on 01634 245999 or email: nbd@component-force.co.uk
